CITRUS HEIGHTS-

Christopher Myer and his dog Mary Jane are bruised and bloody, but alive after being hit by a car and pushed through a plate glass window Sunday night in Citrus Heights.

“It could have cost my friend’s life, my dog’s life,” Christopher Myer told FOX40 Monday afternoon.

The attack happened in the parking lot of a strip mall in 7900 block of Auburn Boulevard around 9 p.m. Sunday.

“This car drove in, made a u-turn, came back around the circle and came back in,” witness Luis Cardenas told FOX40.

Citrus Heights detectives say 47-year-old Anthony Robinson was driving and tried to run over Myer, his dog and friend Mikey in retribution for a fight Myer and his wife had at the Dairy Queen earlier Sunday.

Witnesses say the SUV was doing 25 to 30 miles an hour in the parking lot when it hit.

Robinson and his SUV were found near his home in North Highlands a short time later.

Myer, his friend and his dog should all be fine, though stunned.

“The human life should be worth at least something, instead of being ran over like I’m garbage,” Myer said.
