Ben Silverman‘s Electus has partnered with another multimedia production operation. The company announced Monday that it’s made a strategic investment in Hud:sun Media.
Founded in 2010 by Michael Rourke and MDC Partners, Hud:sun most notably produces Bravo’s Pregnant in Heels and Oxygen’s I’m Having Their Baby.
“Michael’s tremendous work with brands is one of the many driving forces that has allowed him to build Hud:sun Media into a multidimensional content company,” said Electus CEO Chris Grant. “He and his team produce premium content that truly resonates with audiences all around the world. Hud:sun Media is already a very strong independent player and we believe this partnership makes Hud:sun’s potential limitless.”
Electus and Hud:sun will work on developing and producing new programming for television, digital and marketing in the U.S. and abroad.
“Electus is the perfect partner for Hud:sun Media,” added Rourke. “Ben Silverman, Chris Grant, and Drew Buckley have truly created a next generation studio model with great creative content, terrific brand relationships and unparalleled distribution muscle. The power and reach of Electus, coupled with the influence and expertise of MDC Partners, gives Hud:sun Media tremendous momentum for the future.”
Hud:sun’s digital offerings currently include Yahoo’s Style Studio with Rebecca Minkoff, AOL’s Decoding Style with Nina Garcia and video content for Conde Nast Entertainment’s new digital push for GQ and Glamour.
