“Ooh La La,” Britney Spears‘ bubblegum contribution to the upcoming soundtrack for The Smurfs 2, wiggled its way online Friday, May 17, exactly one month after the song was announced. Click here to listen to the track.

Last month, Spears described the soundtrack single as “Smurftastic,” and the track does indeed slide into that Smurf-y sweet spot of sugary synth-pop; the pop superstar raps a little bit in the pre-chorus, and then concludes on the refrain, “Baby come with me and be my ooh-la-la.” Produced by Femme Fatale collaborators Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald, Ammo and Cirkut, “Ooh La La” is highlighted by a compelling breakdown, full of scrambled vocals and dense beats, that lasts for 30 seconds beginning at the 2:35 mark.

Before The Smurfs 2 soundtrack is released, Spears will team up with Will.i.am to record her eighth studio album, which follows 2011’s Femme Fatale. “We start next week,” the Black Eyed Peas frontman, who has been tapped as the album’s executive producer, told Billboard earlier this week. “Before we even start we’ve had these juicy sessions, where we’ve been bonding, building the trust and comfort. I’ve never worked like this before — not even the Peas.”
Will.i.am and Britney Spears scored a Top 5 hit on the Hot 100 earlier this year with “Scream & Shout,” from his recently released #willpower solo set. “Ooh La La” will run during the end credits of The Smurfs 2, which hits theaters on July 31.
