German sales group Atlas International, one of the true Cannes’ survivors, has boarded a pack of high-profile genre titles for its Cannes entries, including Irish drama A Belfast Story, starring Colm Meaney and Malcolm Sinclair, prison redemption tale Jamesey Boy with Mary-Louise Parker and James Woods and Zara’s Law, starring Sopranos alum Tony Sirico.
Atlas co-heads Philipp and Stefan Menz have doubled down with this year’s Cannes slate, arguably the biggest in the company’s 46-year history.
New films Atlas is introducing to international buyers at the 2013 Marche include kidnapping picture Confine, starring model Daisy Lowe and Game of Thrones alum Alfie Allen; biker thriller Road to Paloma, directed by and featuring Conan the Barbarian star? Jason Momoa and romantic comedy Girl on a Bicycle from writer/director Jeremy Leven (Don Juan DeMarco), which co-stars Vincenzo Amato (Golden Door), Britain’s Paddy Constantin (Submarine) and German actress Nora Tschirner.
