Sony/ATV Music Publishing has signed a long-term extension administration agreement with Sting, who has had a relationship with the company for more than 16 years.
The global agreement will cover all music publishing throughout Sting’s solo career and from his time with the Police. It includes songs like “Fields of Gold,” “If I Ever Lose My Faith in You,” “If You Love Somebody Set Them Free,” “Roxanne,” “Can’t Stand Losing You” and “Every Breath You Take.” Also part of the deal are such Sting-penned Oscar-nominated songs as “You Will Be My Ain True Love” (from the film Cold Mountain) and “Until” (Kate & Leopold).

“Sting is one of the world’s greatest living songwriters,” Sony/ATV chairman/CEO Martin Bandier said in a statement. “He is an award-winning artist and his distinct musical style makes him beloved by a global audience.”
In other Sony/ATV news, the company is moving its administrative offices from Nashville’s famed Music Row to new offices downtown and will be adding 50-60 new jobs. The publisher, which owns or administers more than 2 million copyrights, will occupy three full floors and is set to move by the end of the year.
