Charice Pempengco Girlfriend Photo: ‘Most Talented Girl In The World’ Comes Out Gay, Introduces Girlfriend Alyssa Quijano, 'She's My Everything'

Charice Pempengco, the Filipino singer who Oprah Winfrey called “the most talented girl in the world,” revealed in an interview Sunday that she’s gay.

One day after, Pempengco proudly introduced her girlfriend, Alyssa Quijano.

“She’s like my everything,” the 21-year-old singer said.

Quijano was a member of the group contestant AKA Jam. Charice, at the time, was among the show’s judges, reports the blog Scoopboy.

According to Philippine news site, Interaksyon, Charice and girlfriend Alyssa were both seen wearing promise rings, symbolizing their commitment to each other.

Charice said she and Quijano have known each other since they were 10 years old but it was only during “X Factor” that they met again.

During the X-Factor auditions, Charice confidently introduced Alyssa to the other judges and to the public.

They’ve known each other while competing at the amateur singing contest circuit.

The last tattoo Charice had was dedicated to Alyssa, an inscription on her chest that she acquired in March.

It reads: “LET’S START WITH FOREVER,” a line borrowed from the blockbuster movie, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.”

According to the singer, she considers Alyssa not just a girlfriend, but also a sister and her best friend, saying in her native language Tagalog, “She’s like a sibling who gives me advice…my best friend…it’s different because we’ve known each other so long.”

Alyssa said that she and Charice are compatible and can agree on many things.

“There’s a lot….in a lot of things we agree,” she replied in the vernacular.

In an interview Sunday night with Filipino talk show host Boy Abunda on “The Buzz”, Abunda asked Charice if she is a lesbian.

She replied in Tagalog, “Yes…I am.”

Explaining why she decided to share the news on the popular show, Charice said, "I have deep gratitude for the Filipinos because they are the ones who know who I really am. ... I don't know what the problem is because for me, there is no problem with that. So now I ask for forgiveness from those who don't understand. And those who cannot accept. I apologize: I understand you."

She added, "To those who could accept, and who could accept me, thank you very, very much. I just want to say to all of you that I feel very light – that I can leave the house knowing I am not hiding anything."

“I love myself, that’s why I’m able to do this,” she shared, teary-eyed.

After she ended speculations and rumors about her sexuality, Charice is now eager to resume her career.

The "Glee" star will have several shows in Indonesia and Germany. She will also be coming back to the States for her recording commitments.

She’s currently working on her third studio album in the Philippines, which will mostly contain covers of songs, which she said define this difficult period in her young life.
