The see-saw battle for California's Seventh Congressional District swung in favor of Democratic incumbent Dr. Ami Bera over his Republican challenger, Doug Ose, according to updates posted this afternoon.

According to the Sacramento County Voter's Registrar, Bera now leads the race by 711 votes. The reports shows a 1,241 vote swing in Bera's favor.

Bera now has 50.2-percent of the vote for a total of 87,643 while Ose falls to 49.80-percent for a total of 86,932 votes. 

About 19,000 provisional and mail-in ballot still needed to be counted with another update scheduled for tomorrow.
