People who live off Horse Shoe Bar Road wonder how many more accidents have to happen before something is done.

“They have died, crashed, run off the road,” said Lionel Groves.

Groves has lived off of Horse Shoe Bar Road for 34 years. Recently, he says it’s turned into a racetrack when it used to be a quaint country road.

“I think it’s the older generation terrorizing their the road with their hot cars,” said Groves.

The speed limit is 40 miles an hour, but Groves says cars drive much faster than that. Sunday, a driver in a Dodge Viper crashed into his friend’s home.

“Had John and Jan been sitting in their living room, they could have been engulfed in flames,” said Groves.

Groves says he’s reported the speeding problem.

“What I want done is I want a police cruiser around here once in a while. Not that I’m on the road all the time but I don’t think I have seen a CHP officer in probably six to eight months,” said Groves.

CHP told us Monday they were unaware of the problem, and they are looking into it.
