Yoko Ono's fight against fracking gets help from famous friends Adrian Grenier and Susan Sarandon

Yoko Ono recruited the help of some powerful industry pals at an anti-fracking event in New York City on Friday.

Backed by Adrian Grenier, Susan Sarandon and Rufus Wainwright, Ono unveiled her Imagine No Fracking campaign at ABC Carpet and Home in Manhattan.

The 80-year-old activist has prioritized environmentalism for decades.

Clad in a black blazer, jeans and a porkpie hat, Ono revealed a series of seven posters emblazoned with the messages, 'Imagine No Fracking,' 'Don’t Frack New York,' 'Fracking Kills,' 'Fracking Makes All Water Dirty,' 'Don’t Frack Me,'  'Don’t Frack Our Future' and 'Pretty Soon There Will Be No More Water To Drink.'

The widow of John Lennon has battled the practice through her Artists Against Fracking organization, which counts actors Mark Ruffalo and Robert De Niro as members.

Ono, like many others, opposes fracking on the grounds that it tarnishes the water supply and may result in unforeseen environmental consequences.

'I immediately said ''Yes'' when ABC asked me to take over their window displays to help spread the message to stop fracking our beautiful state,' Ono said in a statement.

'I was surprised by the courage of ABC to use all of their windows to express a message so important for people’s health,' she continued.

'We need more brave people to speak up and join in the fight to save our land and water.'

Guests posed with Ono before her six-foot-high installations before enjoying several speeches, live music and appetizers.

Last week the conceptual artist announced that she plans to publish a second book of poetry, simply titled Acorn.

The instructional collection will be a follow-up to 1964's Grapefruit.
