The Hollywood Reporter has announced the promotion of five staffers and the addition of nine more to the expanding media company. May also marked a flagship month for the publication’s website, THR.com, which received the highest traffic in its history.
Jeanie Pyun has joined the staff as features director. The former editor of Organic Style magazine and co-editor of InStyle Home, Pyun’s most recent endeavors include THR‘s Hollywood’s Biggest Daddies package, which included Sidney Poitier, Hawk Koch and Ron Meyer.
Lacey Rose and Marisa Guthrie have been promoted to television editors. Rose has been with THR since February 2011 as senior TV writer and prior to that worked at Forbes. She has become one of the top TV writers in the business, producing more than 20 cover stories. Guthrie will report from the East Coast and has been a senior TV writer since November 2010. She has written cover stories on Bob Costas, Matt Lauer and Rachel Maddow.
Borys Kit and Pamela McClintock have been promoted to senior film writers. In the last few weeks Kit broke the news on Johnny Depp‘s salary dispute for the Whitey Bulger biopic. McClintock delivered a unique perspective on trends and features from this year’s Cannes Festival, and her recent “Summer’s Brutal Animation War” story delivers interviews with Jeffrey Katzenberg and Alan Horn.
Jennifer Rzepka has joined the team as art production associate, previously freelancing as a designer for print, iPad and marketing. Kayt Fitzmorris has joined as assistant photo editor. She previously served as operations manager at photographer agency DSREPS.
Brandon Kirby has been added as editorial assistant to executive editor Matthew Belloni and culture editor Degen Pener. He joined THR as an editorial intern in 2012 after graduating from Michigan State University in journalism.
On the web side, Hilary Lewis has joined the New York team as a staff editor for THR.com, Pete Keeley as online copy chief, Kyleen James as photo editor, Daniel Reynoso as web producer, Stephanie Fischette as video producer and Nicole Breanne as social media editor.
Lewis arrives to THR.com from NYPost.com, where she spent the last six years covering the business side of the entertainment industry.
Keeley comes from a three-year stint at sister publication Backstage and before that was a THR copy editor in the features department.
Reynoso started as an intern for the Hollywood Creative Directory in 2010 while studying filmmaking at Cal State University, Northridge.
James has been with THR.com as a freelance photo editor since 2011. Prior to that, she worked on magazine shoots for Vogue, the New Yorker and GQ.
Before joining THR, Fischette previously worked with organizations such as Digitas, Mubi and Tribeca, where she produced more than 70 panels.
Breanne arrived from NBCUniversal, where she worked as community manager, overseeing the social media presence of many stars of NBC shows.
