Johnny Depp and Tom Cruise were the epitome of Hollywood celebrity in their matching aviators and open-collar button-downs at Monday’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony honoring Jerry Bruckheimer.
The duo came out to support the producer, whose credits include Depp’s upcoming The Lone Ranger and Pirates of the Caribbean films and Cruise’s Top Gun, among numerous other movies.

“Without Jerry, there would be no Pirates, there would be no Captain Jack,” Depp said during the ceremony, as quoted by KABC-TV Los Angeles. “Without Jerry, there would be no Lone Ranger, there would be no reinvigorated Tonto. So I have a lot to thank him for. The man is a legend to me, a legend to us all, hence this congregation to celebrate him for his long-deserved star on the Walk of Fame.”
Depp plays Tonto in The Lone Ranger, which opens July 3 and also stars Armie Hammer in the title role, as well as Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson and Helena Bonham Carter. Gore Verbinski directed the movie, from Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films.
