Grant of the Week: Craig Hugh Smyth Visiting Fellowship

AHA Staff | Mar 2, 2007

Villa I Tatti, the Harvard University Center for Italian Renaissance Studies, in Florence offers up to three Craig Hugh Smyth Visiting Fellowships each academic year. This fellowship is aimed at scholars engaged in some aspect of Italian Renaissance studies who hold demanding positions that permit little time for research. Although the fellowship is intended primarily for museum curators, it is also open to librarians, full-time editors, and university and museum administrators. It is not intended for recent post-doctorates, but rather for scholars who have worked for a considerable period without leave. The fellowship carries an award of $4,000 per month. The fellowship is for a minimum of two months and no longer than three months. Deadline for applications and supporting material is April 1, 2007. See the Craig Hugh Smyth Visiting Fellowship page on the Villa I Tatti web site for application instructions and more information.
