After Revenge parted ways with Ashley Madekwe, ABC‘s Suburgatory is also making some changes.
Series regulars Alan Tudyk and Rex Lee will be departing the half-hour comedy from creator Emily Kapnek for the third season, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. There is a possibility that Tudyk, who plays George’s (Jeremy Sisto) best friend, Noah Werner, and Lee, who portrays Tessa’s (Jane Levy) high school counselor, Mr. Wolfe, may return as guest stars.
Tudyk has been a regular from the very beginning, while Lee was upped from guest-star status following his performance in the pilot.

The news of cast cuts on Suburgatory comes nearly one month after ABC renewed the series for a 13-episode run. Other series regulars include Cheryl Hines, Carly Chaikin, Allie Grant, Ana Gasteyer and Chris Parnell.
Following the season-two finale in April, Kapnek told THR her plans for Tudyk’s character, who was seen exacting revenge on Dr. Bob. “His vendetta [against Dr. Bob], the depths he sinks to in the finale, is so funny,” she said at the time. “He’s going to have to put that past him and find a way to move on. I imagine Noah will be in a lot of trouble.”
Suburgatory debuted to critical acclaim in the fall of 2011 as part of ABC’s Wednesday comedy block, but saw ratings dip in its sophomore outing despite a stronger lead-in from Modern Family.
ABC has yet to set a premiere date for season three.
Tudyk reprised his role as Pastor Veal on Netflix’s new season of Arrested Development and stars in upcoming feature Premature. Lee appeared in the indie Someone I Used to Know, released earlier this year.
