The guns and some of the marijuana seized from the Fairfield home.

FAIRFIELD—

A cache of guns along with a stash of marijuana was uncovered at a home Friday that police had been investigating for the past two months.

Officers with Fairfield Police Department’s Special Operations Team showed up at the Tabor Avenue home around 4 p.m. with a search warrant, according to a release by the department.

Inside, numerous guns and a “substantial amount” of marijuana that looked to be ready to hit the streets was found. One of the handguns found at the home was reportedly stolen back in 2007 from Suisun City. Three total handguns were uncovered, while a sub-machine gun pistol was also taken.

Two men at the home – 24-year-old Fairfield resident Eric Brown and 25-year-old Richmond resident Ovonte Kendall – were arrested. They face possession of an assault weapon, possession of stolen property, marijuana possession for sales and maintaining a drug house charges.

Police are still asking anyone with further information about the case to leave them a tip at (707) 428-7600.
