Jay-Z is now a sports agent.
The rapper, who previously announced his intention to move into the athlete-representation business, is officially licensed to work as an agent for NBA and MLB players, ESPN reported.
It’s unclear, however, when Jay-Z can actually start representing athletes. He has yet to sell off his small ownership share of the Brooklyn Nets, according to ESPN, and NBA team owners cannot represent players.

Nonetheless, Jay-Z’s certification comes right in time for next week’s NBA draft and the start of NBA free agency July 1.
The rapper previously announced that he’d established the agency Roc Nation Sports, in a move to get into the athlete-representation business.
Jay-Z’s first NBA client is expected to be Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant, who told his agent he would sign with the rapper, ESPN reports.
New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz is also expected to join the Roc Nation Sports family, according to the sports network.
Since founding Roc Nation Sports, Jay-Z’s firm has signed New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano, New York Jets rookie quarterback Geno Smith and rookie WNBA player Skylar Diggins, of the Tulsa Shock.
Roc Nation partnered with CAA to represent Cano.
