RIO LINDA-
Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies say a man firebombed a Rio Linda home Monday night.
As deputies rushed to the home on Hayer Circle after being told a man was on his way to burn the house down, they got a call that an “explosive device” has already thrown inside.
Some adults and a 3-year-old child were inside. All of them escaped unharmed.
Firefighters were able to put out the fire not long after. Deputies searched the area for 50-year-old Billie Cooper, the man they believe firebombed the home.
Cooper was found hiding near Dry Creek and was arrested.
Cooper was booked on charges of attempted murder, arson, possession and ignition of a destructive device, child endangerment, threats to commit a crime resulting in great bodily injury and parole violation.
