Two political veterans familiar to cable news viewers during last year’s presidential election have signed on with CNN.
Stephanie Cutter, former adviser to President Obama‘s reelection campaign, and Kevin Madden, an adviser for Mitt Romney‘s team, were both named political contributors, the network said Wednesday.

The Hollywood Reporter first reported in April that CNN was eyeing Madden for a potential panel role on a possible revival of political talk show Crossfire.
Madden, who served with Romney during both the 2008 and 2012 campaigns, is the executive vice president of public affairs at consulting firm JDA Frontline.
Stephanie Cutter, the deputy campaign manager for Obama’s reelection bid, recently launched a consulting firm, Precision Strategies.
CNN said both contributors will appear across the network’s programming.
The hires arrive as the network reshapes its roster of political contributors. In recent months, Erick Erickson, Roland Martin, James Carville and Mary Matalin have parted ways with CNN.
