Veteran talk show producer Patricia Ciano has passed The Test.
Ciano will be executive producer of the upcoming daily syndicated show The Test, which will debut in September.
The Test comes from Dr. Phil’s son Jay McGraw’s Stage 29 Productions (The Doctors) and has already been sold by CBS Television Distribution into more than 90 percent of American TV homes — including 17 Tribune stations in major markets including Los Angeles, New York and Chicago. Tribune is also a partner in producing the show.
The Test is a one-hour conflict resolution show. Hosted by Kirk Fox (Parks And Recreation), it will use a lie detector and DNA tests to settle relationship and paternity disputes among guests.
Ciano will be an executive producer along with McGraw and Carla Pennington. Ciano most recently was executive producer of The Jeremy Kyle Show. Her other credits include The Ricki Lake Show, The Jenny Jones Show and court shows Judge Pirro, Judge Hatchett and Judge Lopez.
“Patty’s broad experience and keen sensibilities make her the perfect choice to join our team,” McGraw said. “She brings a vast knowledge of this proven format, and we look forward to working with her as we introduce this unique program to viewers.”
