HBO used the season three finale of Game of Thrones to tout its upcoming Stephen Merchant comedy Hello Ladies, releasing the first footage of the series Sunday.
Hello Ladies is loosely based on a 2011 stand-up routine and follows Merchant as an awkward, overly confident Englishman trying to date in Los Angeles — where his efforts to infiltrate the world of beautiful people are not successful.

The creator of the British Office amusingly stumbles through an attempt to meet two women after his wingman, Wade (Nate Torrence), thinks bringing up abortion is the way to kick off a conversation.
HBO has ordered eight episodes of the comedy, which hails from former Office writer-producers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky. The series premieres Sunday, Sept. 29 at 10 p.m.
