ROSEVILLE-
Michael and Lori Staines were married in March of this year in Hawaii.
When the newlyweds returned, they started-off on a cross-country road trip to the east coast and back to California.
Along the way the couple went sightseeing, stopped at national monuments, and captured more than 1,000 pictures of what they saw.
On July 10th they started uploading pictures, but realized it would take sometime. In a rush, they put the camera in the car and headed for Pacific Sales in Roseville, looking to pick out new appliances for their new home.
Lori Staines left her cellphone in the middle console, the camera was hidden in the back. The Staines were in the store for only minutes, when someone ran in and told them a car window was busted out.
Their camera was stolen, the phone too. Their honeymoon now ended on a sour note.
“Please if you have the SD card, that’s all I want,” said a teary eyed Michael Staines.
“I am not pressing any charges, I just want my pictures back.”
Roseville Police are hoping to solve the crime.
If you know where the SD card is; mail it to FOX 40, so we can put it back in the hands of the newlyweds.
