This year’s HBRFest will feature Portugal as guest country and also will present a night of gay-themed films with screenings of Allan Ribeiro’s dance feature, This Love That Consumes and Marcelo Caetano’s short By Your Side.
Entertainment industry organizations that have come on board as presenting community partners for the 2013 edition of HBRFest include Outfest, Film Independent, National Association of Latino Independent Producers, Women in Film International and Latino Public Broadcasting. The lineup includes the fest’s first world premiere, Rafael Todeschini’s short film Eva Maria.
“In our fifth year of the festival, we are thrilled to be presenting our very first world premiere in addition to some notable international premieres. We are also honored to be paying tribute to one of Brazil’s most prominent filmmakers, Anna Muylaert,” founder and executive director Talize Sayegh said.
