A Sacramento man on parole was arrested Thursday morning on suspicion of stealing a large amount of change from a car and for alleged narcotics possession.

According to Elk Grove Police, officers were dispatched to Blue Maiden Way and Shasta Lily Drive after receiving reports of a suspicious person looking into vehicles with a flashlight. A responding officer observed a person matching the description closing the driver's side door of a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence.

After contacting and detaining Keith Dennings, a records search found he was on parole. A search of the suspect led to the discovery of a large amount of change and narcotics paraphernalia.

The owner of the vehicle, that was parked in the driveway, exited the residence and confirmed that he had locked his vehicle. The owner also discovered that all the change he had in his car was gone.

Officers observed that there was damage to the driver's side window frame. Dennings was arrested and booked into the county jail where he remains in custody ineligible for bail.

I received an email from someone saying that his son was held up at gun point behind the clubhouse on Club Park Circle on Friday night. A car pulled up and took their phones and cash. Apparently the robbers pulled away and did the same thing to a guy down the street walking his dog. The email says the police have been informed. I don't know if this is even true or not but heads up to everyone who lives and walks around the neighborhood...just in case.

My neighbor told me about it earlier tonight. He and his wife were walking their small dog. Guy came up and put a gun to his stomach and took their phones out of their pockets. Robber took off and he then ran up to a house and asked the person who answered the door to call 911. He said 3 teens were robbed too. I told him about posting on this website and he said he would. Everyone please tell all your neighbors.
