About SimCraft
A Mod design with creativity and realism in mind providing you with a complete new game dynamic and loads of extra building options. The mod is primarily based on HD textures lower resolutions however will be available later and its currently a work in progress, the lowest currently is 64bit. The concept of SimCraft is to enhance your building and mining experience and to allow you to extend your game with endless possibilities, we are really set out to keep game balance in tact and provide you with a very authentic feeling when playing with SimCraft For those concerned about using 64bit texture, dont be the textures really fit in nicely with the default vanilla textures, and you dont really see a major drop in fps. This mod is huge in fact its the biggest mod available to date.We have taken minecraft to a whole new level, the mod fully supports both SSP and SMP and the only dependencies at the moment is Forge.With SimCraft you will be able to build more types of buildings, mine more ores, have loads of decorations to add to your homes and this is only the beginning. The mod will always be well balanced, some features will be hard to craft or acquire while others will be a lot easier, but we try to keep a balance between content and usability of the item or block added. Now you can start your own brewery, and make all sort of ale, whiskey or simple grape juice
The Bricks and Tiles you will be able to craft.
Carpets in SimCraft [carpets, slabs, full block]
Corners and Slopes crafted from the bricks and tiles
Doors and windows you can use on SimCraft
You can also craft fences, walls and Fence walls
32 Oceaan fish you can catch and release
Fish swimming under water, they eat dirt which will then turn into ocean coral
Furniture in SimCraft[Tables, Chairs, Display Cases, Fish Tank Glass

The ores and stones generated in world and all minable
Plants, Crops and Trees you will find in SimCraft
30 Rooftop types each with 12 unique building pieces.
Slabs that can be crafted from SimCraft bricks, tiles and wood
Stairs and Slopes that can be crafted from SimCraft bricks, tiles and wood
Wooden Planks and logs that can be obtained from the Trees

Your mod looks awesome, but I have a server with a lot of stuff and we dont want start a new world. But for your stone and trees you need a new world right? You added a lot of stuff, can you maybe add an additional dimeson (like twilight forest) for your world items to farm your stuff?
Love the mod, just one question my pc is not that good, will you eventually also cater for 16bit textures so we can use this without the need for an HD mod.
Yes I'm working in between on 16bit texture will be a downscale version of the texture currently being used, but just smoothed out so it looks and appears a lot smoother.
The current Machines are been done in 16bit and will be converted to 128bit Max for models cause it uses one huge image map.
The incompatibility between SimCraft and Forestry has been fixed, for the record forestry uses some string check command that checks the ore register for ores and if the ore's name is less than 5 characters it crashes, not sure why one would think that ore names will always be bigger than 5 in the first place and secondly not even sure why you wanna check the names in the forge register.
Anyways problem has been resolved for those also wanting to play forestry.
Thanks for the forestry fix, was waiting on that, love the machines and can't wait for the expansion.
I can't believe you are making people pay for the server files, that's absolutely absurd and just wrong. Why make the people who play with friends pay but make the people without not pay? dumb
how would one become a premium member in order to receive and get expansions i was really looking forward to the vehicles to know that there wherent any in the normal version please reply when you can

ill see what i can come up with good luck to the both of you i just hope all other mod developers can get other mods up to date and with 1.6.2 before mojang goes ninja on us and releases another stealth update so the tables require a key i noticed that but how do you earn the key after buying premium is there a special version of this mod that is premium and a version of this that isnt premium ??

I love the idea of this mod I tried to use it once and it was incompatible back in 1.4.7 I cant remember with what...But once it gets updated to 1.6.2 I can drop a good 10-15 mods as this will replace them nicely <3 So excited ! great work!

That is all we have but how do you find ore? I been playing in game for over 20 hours and only found 1 river ore...tons of stone and some marbles...oh and likes of coal and iron.

Thanks, yeah we haven't really spend much time on getting mod spotlights etc, and I stayed on version 1.2.5 for ages, while just increasing my java skills. The 1.6.2 version of this mod is basically finish, only problem that remains are with the fishes, but I'm considering to update without including them for now and then work on them later, this way everyone can enjoy this on 1.6.2
O___O I wouldnt be to upset of dealing with out fishes...I'm just excited to get my hands on the mod period <3

It has gotten harder to really learn how to mod, especially since the minecraft code changes so much, one day your doing it this way the next it's the oppiste and I've seen less and less and more useless tutorial out to date than ever before.
I suppose we will see more once we have a really stable built and we know it will be around for more than 2 months, who knows.
I would love to help others code mods for Minecraft, but due to the amount of updates I don't deem it worthy of spending that much time creating tutorials, but who knows, what the future holds.
So in regards to your question for help, your looking at starting at the bottom there and because of all the updates you really will need to know what your doing, if you want to be able to update your mod later on and thus brings a huge problem for everyone just starting out or giving it a go.
Look at those tutorials mikerman50 posted or that link and learn from that if you really have question, let me know.
