Warning: there are reports of apps not working for odexed roms, please make a backup before trying to flash the mods.

NOTE: In Settings, it will still say Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 but that's just the renaming, the files I took from was in Xperia i1 Honami which also has X-Reality engine.
NOTE 2: If you look carefully upon opening a picture in Albums, you will see that the picture will slowly enhance itself because X-Reality processes image in Real-Time so you can see what and how it enhances your image

Try the mods and see if it works

I just put for Z and ZL because I know that it will work for them

It wouldn't hurt to try it, just remember to make a backup of your system in case anything goes wrong

my Z is not rooted thus i can't install it via recovery.

tried extracting the APK from the zip but it did not install.

You need root for this I'm afraid...

Why don't you have root yet? It's very easy and it doesn't matter if you have locked bootloader or on a stock rom

It can't install like normal because it's a system app, the other method is to manually replace the apks to your /system/app but that also requires root

No, it's from Xperia i1 Honami's SYSTEM Dump. Just because they share the same things doesn't mean it's always from the Xperia ZU. Anyways, no one has the Xperia ZU Dump yet.

Did you find any info on Honami specs from the dump? Perhaps what kind of camera sensor they will be using?

For the x reality image, does it applies to the whole ui or just pictures and videos? And if applies to pictures and videos, does it works on unlock bootloader as Bravia engine 2 doesn't work on images for unlock bootloaders

Yes, it wouldn't work for Unlocked bootloaders as the DRMS are permanently gone..

And yes, the image processing is just like BRAVIA - only for albums and Movies.

Depends, I'm not sure about it yet but since there is a camera hardware difference, I'm not sure if it will detect our camera

My home launcher went missing after flashing, luckily got other home launcher installed.

It should work

In my updater script I removed Home.odex and then installed Home.apk (Since the Home.apk was deodexed) that should of made Home work but clearly it did not.

If anyone has a solution to this, please tell me
