ELK GROVE-
Police in Elk Grove say a bicyclist was hit and killed late Sunday night along Franklin High Road, near Vilamoura Way.
The man, 25, was struck by a Chevrolet pickup truck just before 11 p.m., according to officers. Police say he had been riding outside the bike lane.
He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
The driver of the truck was interviewed by police and the crash is still under investigation.
