Indie film A Relative Stranger has rounded out its cast with William Forsythe, Rhys Wakefield, Maika Monroe and Ryan O’Nan joining James Badge Dale in the Texas-set family drama.
The pic, which will be directed by Kane Senes, follows a Civil War vet (Dale) who arrives at his brother-in-law’s rural Texas home after the war. He and his family become entangled in a dispute with the neighboring McCluskey family that escalates to deadly consequences. Senes and John Chriss co-wrote the script.
Produced by Steven J. Berger of Provenance Pictures, Dave Szamet, Kyle Fischer and John Chriss, A Relative Stranger will begin filming in Austin, Texas, in September.

Forsythe, who has appeared on Boardwalk Empire and The Devil’s Rejects, will play the leader of the McCluskey family. He’s repped by Innovative Artists and The Arlook Group.
Monroe will play Abigail, the niece of Dale’s character. The actress, who recently appeared in Sofia Coppola’s The Bling Ring, is repped by WME and Luber Roklin Entertainment.
Wakefield will play Marcus, a member of the McCluskey family whose loyalty is tested because of his feelings for Abigail. He’s is repped by CAA, Anonymous Content and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern.
O’Nan, who recently appeared in The Iceman, will play Doyle, a loyal member of the McCluskey clan. His upcoming projects include Stretch. He’s repped by Paradigm and Principal Entertainment.
Senes and Chriss are repped by Bryan Brucks at Luber Roklin Entertainment.
