Anne Heche has inked a multi-year first-look producing deal with Universal Television.
Under the new pact, the former Save Me star will star in Universal TV programs that would air on NBC or on other broadcast and cable networks.
“Anne has proven, time and again, to be both a wonderfully gifted actor and a hardworking producer with fantastic taste. We’re looking forward to working together on all fronts,” said Jennifer Salke, president of NBC Entertainment.
Heche recently starred and executive produced Save Me, which wrapped up its one-season run on NBC in June. She will also recur on The Michael J. Fox Show, which premieres Sept. 26 as part of NBC’s new Thursday comedy block.
Heche is repped by UTA and Untitled Entertainment. Her past credits include Men in Trees and Hung. She won an Emmy for 2004’s Gracie’s Choice and a Daytime Emmy for NBC’s Another World. Heche also produced and starred in 2004’s The Dead Will Tell and next appears in the feature Heat.
