After her child reportedly fell from a moving van, a Sacramento mom was arrested for child endangerment and drug charges Thursday afternoon.

A witness reported seeing a child fall from the open door of a van as the vehicle was driving away sometime before 4 p.m. The kid was able to get back into the van, but police soon showed up at the woman’s home to see if the child was alright.

At the 82nd Street and 14th Avenue home, officers identified 22-year-old Alissa Anderson as the driver of the van when the child fell out.

The child was examined at by fire personnel and looked to be OK, but was soon taken into protective custody.

Police say that drug paraphernalia was found on Anderson. She was arrested and now faces drug possession and felony child endangerment charges.
