House alum Lisa Edelstein is joining ABC’s Castle.
The actress has booked a multi-episode arc on the cop procedural starring Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic for the upcoming sixth season, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Edelstein will play Rachel McCord, a “tough and highly skilled federal investigator” who plays a pivotal role in Kate Beckett’s (Katic) decision about her future, as TVLine first reported. Edelstein will appear in the premiere.
In the season five finale, Beckett was toying with whether to relocate to Washington to work in a task force at the U.S. attorney general’s office and weighing Castle’s (Fillion) marriage proposal.
Edelstein, repped by IFA Talent and Water Street Anthem Entertainment, has appeared in The Good Wife, Elementary, Scandal and House of Lies following her seven-season run on House.
Castle will return this fall on ABC.
