SACRAMENTO-

Marks of violence –  left by a loved one.

Sonia Rodriguez says  her brother left those kind of marks on her body Thursday in Sacramento –  filling the home she was staying in with fear and 36th Street with police.

She says he choked her.

“[Until] I passed out and the cops came. I turned real blue, like baby blue. I was dying,” she said.

Rodriguez says her brother, 42-year-old Alfredo Rodriguez, started attacking her without provocation.

“He had me on the couch and wouldn’t let me move or nothing,” she said.

Their sister Isabelle and her three kids were forced to climb out of a window to safety.

“I was scared. I was scared for my kids,” said Isabelle.

Police say while that was happening, an armed  Alfredo, held them at bay and Sonia captive.

According to Isabelle, her brother is homeless, has mental problems and has had issues with Sonia for several years.

“He and my sister don’t get along because of a rumor she started two and a half years ago about him doing something to her and it’s just really crazy,” said Isabelle.

Alfredo has a long list of run-ins with the police in his past including a conviction for lewd acts with a child in the 90s.

His sister  says he has to change his ways.

“I hope that God will punish him for what he did to me.. I don’t like ugliness,” said Sonia.

Sonia has suffered brain damage because of an aneurysm in her past, but she is adamant about the details of the attack.
