Kris is up and running, and the new talk show saw a notable victory in the host’s hometown.
Kris Jenner‘s inaugural broadcast on Monday topped time slot competition Katie, Steve Harvey and even Dr. Phil in Los Angeles. The win in the targeted women 25-54 and 18-49 demographics made Kris the top performer in the 3 p.m. hour, airing on KTTV.

For the next six weeks, five Fox stations will test the talk show in hopes of a syndicated launch in 2014. The Los Angeles premiere raked in a 1.3 rating among households and a 0.8 rating in both female demographics. Kris was up by triple digits in many comparisons, including May and June time period averages in the key demos.
New York also saw a solid entry, if not one marked by any big wins. Kris pulled a 1.1 rating among households and a 0.5 rating in both women 25-54 and 18-49.

One show that fared better in New York was The Real. Another summer test run on Fox affiliates, the panel talk show — with co-hosts Tamera Mowry-Housley, Tamar Braxton, Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon and Jeannie Mai — bested its lead-in from Kris, averaging a 1.3 rating in households.
In Dallas, Kris performed the strongest in households with a 1.5 rating. The series topped Ellen, Dr. Oz and Dr. Phil in the shared hour in both female demographics. The Real fared the strongest in Philadelphia, where it averaged a 1.6 rating.
Daytime ratings tend to fluctuate greatly, and the coming weeks are likely to tell a very different story for both shows.
