Die hard fans of Jeremy Lin are quick to jump to his defense, but actually there’s no tougher critic of Lin than Lin himself.
In a 1 on 1 interview with CSN‘s Howard Chen, Lin critiques his playoff performance and sets high goals for improvement next season.
“I’d say I’ll definitely remember a lot more my subpar performance and my injury,” Lin said about his playoff performance. “I think that’s one of my biggest motivating factors going into the offseason was how it ended the way it ended and it just doesn’t sit well with me.
“It was tough. It was tough. I’m glad I made it, but that feeling that you have of making it and playing in your first game goes away quick when it doesn’t pan out the way you want it to.”
Lin missed games four and five due to a chest contusion and his playing time was severely cut back after he sustained his injury in game 2 of the series against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He averaged just four points a game, down from his season average of 13.4 a game.
