Nominees for the 65th annual Primetime Emmy Awards were announced on Thursday morning at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in North Hollywood. Aaron Paul was on hand to announce the nominations, and because Kate Mara could not join him, Neil Patrick Harris filled in as a last-minute substitute.
The duo kicked off the announcement with the first 12 categories before the academy released the full list for this year’s awards, which sees HBO’s Game of Thrones and Behind the Candelabra trailing leader FX’s American Horror Story: Asylum for the most nominations.
