Dogwoof has sealed theatrical deals for Germany, Austria, Switzerland (NFP), Benelux (Remain in Light), Spain (Karma), Iceland (Green Light) and France (Zylo Films).
Arte France has picked up TV rights for France and Germany, RTS took Swiss French rights and VMMA grabbed Flemish rights, while HBO Europe will broadcast the film in Central Europe and the Balkans.
Netflix inked a deal for Blackfish for the U.K., Scandinavia and Latin America, and Jaguar Distribution will handle airline rights.
Ana Vicente and Vesna Cudic of Dogwoof Global negotiated the deals.
Magnolia and CNN Films earlier grabbed the North American rights to Blackfish during this year’s Sundance Film Festival. Magnolia rolled it out this weekend in the U.S., with a domestic broadcast debut on CNN scheduled for later this year.
