One of the grows seized by Ceres Police.

CERES—

It would take one person 13 years to smoke all the pot that Ceres authorities seized over the weekend, police told FOX40.

Warrants served at nine locations throughout Ceres netted the marijuana. About 1,200 plants, totaling about 6,000 pounds, were taken.

Seven people were arrested in the operation. Two guns were also found.

Ceres Police note that many people operating the grows believed they could get away with it by citing a medicinal need for marijuana.

More than a dozen other residences are being watched by police. Once they get enough evidence, police say, officers will obtain a search warrant and seize any illegal grows.
