Gleeks, rejoice: After much fanfare and months of buzz, American Idol‘s Jessica Sanchez makes her long-awaited debut on the Fox musical Thursday.
In a new behind-the-scenes clip from Glee, Sanchez takes the stage as Frida Romero, a diva and lead vocalist at New Directions’ Regionals rival. “I’m strutting my stuff!” Sanchez says of the role, which marks a departure for the young singer.

Romero will step into the Glee spotlight and sing two songs — Zedd’s “Clarity” and Little Mix’s “Wings” — during the episode, both tracks the season 12 Idol runner-up notes she loves.
