October 30, 2014

Microsoft has just released another notable update to the official Mac app of its Skype VoiP and IM service.

Earlier this month, Skype for Mac was updated to version 7.0 with new features and fixes on top of a new design, including a new side-by-side interface that allows calling, chatting, file sharing, and more all in the same screen.

Now, Skype for Mac has been updated to version 7.1 with support for OS X Yosemite, including a fix for a crash that occurs on video calls on the new version of Apple’s desktop operating system.

Skype 7.1 for Mac also features an enhanced group profile, which makes it easier to copy a link or to leave a group conversation. It also includes a fix for crashes that occur when sending contacts from search results.
