In the current economic climate, many people have considered returning to school. Some may hope to receive degrees in marketing or nursing, but for the adventurous few, Monsters University offers an education in the lucrative field of “Scaring.”
A new promo for Pixar‘s latest feature film, Monsters University, is a mock recruitment video released by the “Dean of Students.” The prequel to the 2001 Monsters, Inc. will follow Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) and James P. Sullivan (John Goodman) as they traverse the tumultuous waters of collegiate life.
Currently enrolled monsters assure their prospective peers that the MU student body is “a family of thousands, where I can love to learn and learn to love.”
Pixar, a company that prides itself on the detail of its animated worlds, has also launched an extensive Monster’s University website complete with course descriptions and meal plans. In an attempt to accommodate Monsters of all shapes and sizes, the MU student store offers college gear up to 4XL and with a two- or four-arm option.
The website even features a page devoted to MU “Greek Life,” which lists venerable sororities and fraternities, such as “Roar Omega Roar” and “Eta Hiss Hiss.”
The pun possibilities are almost endless.
Monsters University has a summer release of June 21.
