STOCKTON—
A man panhandling near Martin Luther King Boulevard and American Street was assaulted and robbed Tuesday evening by three young men.
Police say that the man was approached by the three around 7:42 p.m. when one of them took out a pipe and hit him.
That same attacker then took the man’s wallet.
The panhandler had to be taken to the hospital for treatment of a cut to his forehead and torso. Police are still looking for the suspects.
