TORONTO – Neil Court and Carrie Mudd’s Peacock Alley Entertainment have launched a distribution arm to be run by veteran Craig McGillivray.
The indie producer, launched a year ago, will unveil its distribution division in Banff as it eyes producers looking to distribution advances, pre-sales and other financing tools to get shows made.
Before joining Peacock Alley, McGillivray was territory manager for DHX Media, and earlier completed stints at Breakthrough Entertainment and Ironstar Communications.
Peacock Alley’s Court executive produced projects like Angela Anaconda, Planet Sketch and Naturally Sadie at Decode Entertainment before leaving parent DHX Media in 2009.
“Craig’s tremendous experience aligns perfectly with our business strategy,” said Mudd in a statement Wednesday.
Peacock Alley recently secured an 8-episode reality series order from E! Canada for Brave New Girl, about the Canadian transgender beauty queen Jenna Talackova.
