doolittle fireROSEVILLE-

A suspicious fire burned two mobile homes on Doolittle Drive in Roseville Monday morning.

Firefighters were called in just before 7 a.m. Embers blew from one home to the other, starting the second fire.

One home was vacant and two people living in the other home got out okay. Neighbors reported hearing explosions followed by a pop and nearby homes were evacuated. The fire gutted the first house and badly damaged the other.

According to neighbors, the house where the fire started has history of suspicious activity. Large amounts of garbage, which looked like rubble from the fire, were not unusual to see piled on the driveway and sidewalk according to neighbor Joe Gonzales.

Regardless of how it looked, the Roseville home is infamous on Dootlittle Drive for suspected drug activity and has received multiple complaints by surrounding neighbors who were concerned that an incident like this would happen.

Those who were evacuated were allowed back into their homes around 8:30 a.m. and some say they were not surprised by this fire.

Investigators have not confirmed a cause of the fire but say it was suspicious.
