SACRAMENTO-

A local group is encouraging men to get their “drought face” on to save water.

Shaving your face uses, on average, an extra five gallons of water.

Of course, skipping a shave or two isn’t the only way to conserve water. Be Water Smart also suggests shorter showers, turning off the faucet while brushing your teeth, turning off your sprinklers during winter and fixing leaks.

The group is also selecting drought faces to be featured on a digital billboard at Cal Expo and the Business 80 freeway.
