Police arrested 32-year-old Anthony Lamar Jones, a local barber, for the crime. FOX40 has learned from court documents that Jones has a history of violence.

“He has demons and deep issues,” that’s one mom’s reaction Saturday night, from those who paid their respect to 13-year-old Genelle Conway-Allen — who was kidnapped, raped and murdered. Her body was later dumped at Alan Witt Park.

“It’s an outrage. You have these grown men, that does these nasty, horrible, ugly things to these children. They don’t deserve that.”

The documents reveal Jones’ wife had filed for a restraining order after a couple of violent fights, in which Jones reportedly assaulted her and threatened to burn down the house.

The wife said during one fight that Jones armed himself with a knife and gun and told her he didn’t want to die alone.

“I visited the barber shop, and I saw this individual, and he was always … He would never look up and acknowledge … Very, very quiet and I would wonder about his spirit,” another mom at the park said.

Jones was served with the restraining order just hours after Genelle’s body was found.

Police arrested Jones exactly one week later.

“It makes me wanna make sure who’s around me? What’s around me?  Make sure I’m always with someone,” a classmate of Genelle’s said.
