Jeffrey Katzenberg will be honored by The Anti-Defamation League at its Centennial Entertainment Industry Dinner on May 8 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Kirk Douglas will open the dinner at which the DreamWorks Animation CEO will receive the ADL Entertainment Industry Award given to “individuals based on leadership and extraordinary innovation in the entertainment industry locally, nationally and internationally.”
Katzenberg recently received the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award in recognition of his philanthropic work. Since 1991, he has served as chairman of the board for the Motion Picture & Television Fund Foundation, which provides healthcare, childcare and senior services programs to entertainment industry workers. He also founded the DreamWorks Animation Academy of Inner-City Arts; sits on the Boards of AIDS Project Los Angeles, American Museum of the Moving Image, California Institute of the Arts, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Geffen Playhouse, Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts and the Simon Wiesenthal Center; and is a longtime supporter of ADL.
