SACRAMENTO—

A longtime Midtown Sacramento restaurant and bar will be shutting its doors on Labor Day.

Hamburger Patties, located at the corner of 17th and J Streets, announced the closing Wednesday evening on their Facebook page.

Below is the full text of the post:

Friends and family…sadly, we are announcing the end of an era. Hamburger Patties will close Sept 2nd. We thank you for two decades of seeing your faces, the laughs, the good and bad singing, and being able to serve you. We’ll be open through this weekend if you want to come say goodbye or have a drink to celebrate the many years “Mary” stood on the corner of 17th and J.

The restaurant was known as Hamburger Mary’s until 2007.
