spikestripsSACRAMENTO COUNTY—

Sheriff’s deputies found themselves in a short pursuit in South Sacramento Wednesday morning.

A little before 3 a.m., deputies got a call of shots fired. Arriving at the scene, a patrol car was nearly clipped by another car.

That other car took off, with the deputies giving chase.

After laying out spike strips in the road, the car slowed down and stopped in front of the suspect’s home on 67th Avenue.

The person behind the wheel was arrested for evading authorities and for driving under the influence.
