Previous recipients of the President’s Award include Taylor Swift, Gloria Estefan, Willie Nelson, Emilio, Pitbull, Juanes and Kike Santander.
Maroon 5 boasts over 17 million in record sales, and have gone gold and platinum in over 35 countries. Their latest album, Overexposed, has risen to the top of the charts, and the band’s latest single, “Daylight,” has reached No. 1 on the Top 40 chart.
In 2011, Levine also became the first artist in the Billboard Hot 100‘s 53-year history to reach No. 1 as part of a group, with Maroon 5’s “Moves Like Jagger,” while simultaneously entering the Top 10 as a soloist, as he was featured on and co-wrote Gym Class Heroes’ top single, “Stereo Hearts.”
