TORONTO – The Canadian female werewolf drama Bitten has added Greg Bryk, Greyston Holt (Alcatraz) and Paul Greene to its cast.
Canada’s Space sci-fi channel earlier cast Laura Vandervoort (Smallville) as the lead in the 13-part man-vs.-beast series from Vancouver producers No Equal Entertainment and Hoodwink Entertainment and Toronto’s Entertainment One.
Bitten is based on the Kelley Armstrong book series Women of the Otherworld.
Bryk will play pack alpha Jeremy Danvers, Holt will play Clayton Danvers, and Greene takes on the role of Philip McAdams.
The series, executive produced by J.B. Sugar, is shooting in Toronto, ahead of an early 2014 bow on Space.
Set in Toronto and upper New York state, Bitten portrays the world of 28-year-old Elena Michaels (Vandervoort), the world’s only female werewolf who thought she’d found her one true love in Clayton Danvers.
But one small bite results in her normal life vanishing, leaving Elena to survive life living in a pack.
Also joining the Bitten cast are Paulino Nunes and Steve Lund as werewolf father and son Antonio and Nick Sorrentino, respectively, and Natalie Brown as Diane, Philip’s sister and Elena’s best friend in Toronto.
Rounding out the series cast are Michael Xavier as werewolf Logan, Genelle Williams as Logan’s girlfriend Rachel, and Joel Keller as werewolf Peter.
