rim fireTUOLUMNE COUNTY-

The Rim Fire, burning in the Stanislaus National Forest, has grown to more than 16,200 acres since starting Saturday afternoon.

Firefighters with the U.S. Forest Service, along with Cal Fire crews, are hindered by steep and inaccessible terrain.

The fire is expected to continue to spread rapidly.

So far, two homes and seven outbuildings have burned, and an additional 2,500 structures are threatened by the flames.
