LONDON – The Christopher Nolan and Michael Stokes penned crime thriller The Keys to the Street, starring Gemma Arterton and Tim Roth, is to be touted to international buyers by Myriad Pictures.
The psychological thriller, based on the novel of the same name by Ruth Rendell, details the story of a woman who, after escaping from her violent husband, has a love affair with a man who is not who he seems to be.
The title also stars Max Irons (TV’s The White Queen), and will be directed by Czech director Julius Sevcik (Normal).

Slated to begin production in the U.K. in the first quarter of 2014, U.S. sales rights will be handled by Myriad and CAA.
The Keys to the Street is being produced by Pretty Pictures and Apollo Productions, with Gail Mutrux (Kinsey) and Steve Norris, CEO of Apollo Productions and executive producer for Pinewood Films, serving as producers.
Myriad’s Kirk D’Amico will take an executive producer credit.
D’Amico said: “We think that audiences will love how Christopher Nolan and Michael Stokes have adapted this popular English mystery novel … with a dark edge.”
D’Amico and David Ducar, svp business and legal affairs, negotiated the deal for international sales duties.
Mutrux is president and owner of Pretty Pictures. She currently has The Danish Girl, written by Lucinda Coxon and based on David Ebershoff’s novel, which is scheduled to go into production in 2014. Other active projects include Little Bee, adapted by Shawn Slovo, starring Nicole Kidman and developed by BBC Films, the public broadcaster’s standalone filmmaking arm.
Norris has consulted for key industry clients including national governments and, in 2013, was executive producer on both Lone Scherfig’s Posh for Pinewood Films, Film 4 and the British Film Institute, and Our Robot Overlords, starring Ben Kingsley and Gillian Anderson for Pinewood, Embankment Films and the BFI.
He is currently CEO of Apollo Productions and executive producer for Pinewood Films, the recently birthed film production arm of Pinewood Studios.
Headed by president and CEO D’Amico, the company’s slate currently boasts The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Him And Her, starring Jessica Chastain and James McAvoy, which is set to unspool during the the Toronto Film Festival.
